The Ultimate Combination?
Enjoy a glass of wine….enjoy getting stoned….the perfect combination, but until now I thought that both were entirely separate activities. That was until a Californian wine company recently developed a wine called CannaWine which is made with cannabis. Simply the perfect combination of two of my most favourite things in life.
One of my most admired bands of all time, Die Antwoord, created a song to describe the exquisite feeling of being both stoned and drunk….brilliant called ‘Strunk’. Click on the image below to take you to the song by the same name. Hop you love it as much as I do.
What’s It Made From?
The wine is infused with non-psychoactive cannabinoids like CBD, together with 86 others, which gives you great aroma and taste so getting ‘strunk’ is also therapeutic for you
Interestingly, scientific and medical studies proven to be very positive on many differing ailments.
How Do You Get It?
Well, that’s the catch, unless you know the right people. It’s currently only available on prescription and costs $120 to $400 for half a bottle and only available in the state of Calafornia. Let’s hope some of it eventually makes it over to the UK.
What Does Weed Wine Taste Like?
‘CannaWine Red’ as it’s called has an intense red colour. It has a sweet and sugary flavor and overtones of red and black fruits. The wine has 14% alcohol volume and has been designed to drink cold and when served at a perfect temperature, has a subtle aroma of cannabis sativa L. This is a wine truly difficult to forget…..not that you would want to!
How’s It Made?
Weed wine apparently starts with a pound (1/2 kilo) of marijuana wrapped in a cheese cloth and simply added to a barrel of wine, where it is allowed to ferment for up to a year before being processed into wine.
